Huali Delegation Paid a Visit to University of New Haven Meeting with Dr. Henry C. Lee
On May 23, 2025, at the invitation of Dr. Henry C. Lee, recipient of the "World Outstanding Chinese Award" and China's "Friendship Award", world-renowned criminal forensic scientist, "Contemporary Sherlock Holmes", tenured professor at the University of New Haven (UNH), and celebrated Chinese-American detective, Professor Jiesheng Liu, President of Guangzhou Huali College, visited UNH and toured the campus accompanied by Vice President Gregory E. Eichhorn. President Liu then attended a symposium at the conference room of the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science with President Jens Frederiksen, Vice Presidents Dr. Nancy Ortins Savage, Dr. Gregory E. Eichhorn, Dr. Mario Thomas Gaboury, and Professor Brooke W. Kammrath, Executive Dean of the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science. Dean Shuze Tang of the International School and Board Secretary Yao Ling accompanied President Liu to the symposium, which was chaired by Dr. Henry C. Lee.
Dr. Henry C. Lee Warmly Welcomes President Liu's Delegation and Chairs Cooperation Symposium
At the beginning of the symposium, Dr. Henry C. Lee introduced the attending UNH presidents and vice presidents to President Jiesheng Liu and invited him to speak. President Liu first expressed gratitude for Dr. Lee's kind invitation and warm reception, happily recalling the enthusiastic response to Dr. Lee's full-English lecture "Making Impossible Become Possible" at Guangzhou Huali College in December 2023. He briefly introduced the basic overview, campus environment, university scale, and characteristics of Guangzhou Huali College to President Jens Frederiksen. Subsequently, Dean Shuze Tang added the introduction of the university's advantageous disciplines and EMI teaching programs in English with a PPT presentation.

Vice President Gregory E. Eichhorn briefly introduced the UNH with three "W"s: Who - introducing the president and educational philosophy, as well as the scale of faculty and students; Where - highlighting the university's geographical location adjacent to Yale University (historically part of Yale); What - presenting the university's advantageous disciplines and rankings, with a focus on the internationally top-ranked criminal forensic science program of the Henry C. Lee Institute. Vice President Eichhorn also recalled the online cooperation project discussions held multiple times over the past year with the International School of Guangzhou Huali College. He expressed his commitment to continuing communication with Associate Dean Qingqing Zhou, striving to overcome challenges in language and economy during the selection of exchange students, and seeking breakthroughs.
